MUD 346: 1-10 Beautification in Houston, Texas | AWBD Project Awards

Project Highlights

MUD 346: I-10 Beautification is a corridor improvement project in Houston, Texas focused on enhancing the visual quality, functionality, and pedestrian accessibility along the I-10 frontage. The project was recognized with the 2021 Association of Water Board Directors Award for its contributions to infrastructure and landscape improvement.

The planting plan establishes a durable, low-maintenance landscape framework designed to improve roadway aesthetics while withstanding high-traffic corridor conditions. The irrigation plan provides efficient and uniform coverage to support plant establishment and long-term sustainability in a challenging roadway environment.

Hardscape improvements include coordinated sidewalks and curb ramps to enhance pedestrian connectivity, accessibility, and safety throughout the corridor. These elements are integrated with the overall landscape design to create a cohesive and functional streetscape improvement.
