Nexcore Group MOB in Katy, Texas
Project Highlights
NexCore Katy MOB is a medical office building landscape designed to support a professional, clean, and accessible environment consistent with healthcare facility standards. The landscape design emphasizes simplicity, safety, and long-term maintainability, with planting areas arranged to reinforce building entrances, pedestrian circulation paths, and parking lot edges while maintaining clear visibility and wayfinding throughout the site. BLA successfully interpreted and applied the applicable Harris County landscape requirements while designing an irrigation system that met the MUD district's irrigation criteria, ensuring a coordinated, code-compliant solution that satisfied all reviewing agencies.
The planting plan utilizes durable, low-maintenance plant material selected for performance in the local climate, prioritizing uniform appearance, seasonal stability, and reduced maintenance requirements appropriate for a medical office setting. Planting zones are structured to provide a polished landscape presentation while supporting functional site use.
The irrigation plan is designed to deliver efficient and uniform coverage across all landscape areas, ensuring consistent plant establishment and long-term health. The valve and watering schedules organize irrigation zones for controlled application timing and balanced distribution, improving water efficiency and supporting reliable system operation throughout the site.
