Escondido Amenity Center in Magnolia, Texas

Project Highlights

Designed as the social heart of the Escondido single family community, the Escondido Amenity Center brings together recreation, relaxation, and everyday convenience in one connected, fully fenced site. The dedicated parking and a bike rack at the amenity center entry cater to the community’s diverse age groups to allow for ease of access.

The central building houses restrooms, water fountains, a storage room, and an office, paired with an attached shaded seating area for residents to gather out of the sun. A network of sidewalks ties the site together, connecting the parking area, building, pool, playground, and splashpad, with an additional walk extending toward the street to link up with neighboring sites.

The playground offers active play for younger residents, framed by two shade structures and bench seating for parents and caregivers. Just steps away, the splashpad gives families a cooling counterpart to the playground, with a shade structure set along the perimeter sidewalk with bench seating for parents and caregivers to relax nearby. Also adjacent to splashpad is a picnic pavilion that extends the gathering space with fans, outlets, and lighting for comfortable use. The pool is designed for both relaxation and training, the pool features a sun shelf for lounging alongside four 25-yard lap lanes, perfect for avid swimmers and future competitive swim programs. Two shade structures feature integrated power, thoughtfully designed to transition from casual swim days to extended, all-day visits. The generous pool deck leaves ample room for future site furnishings such as lounge chairs and tables, allowing the space to grow with resident needs. Throughout the site, extensive plantings and shade trees soften the hardscape and create a lush, welcoming environment, while site-wide lighting ensures the amenity center remains safe and usable from morning through night.
