Project Highlights
Childress Ranch is a single-family ranchette community designed to capture the character and charm of Texas country living through a welcoming entrance, thoughtfully planned amenity spaces, and a landscape that embraces the site's natural setting. BLA designed the community entry, creating a distinctive arrival experience that establishes the development's identity while reflecting its ranch-inspired character.
The project included the design of the community's amenity areas, including mail kiosk structures, pavilion and pier features, and coordinated landscape improvements centered around two community ponds enhanced with decorative aeration fountains that serve as prominent visual focal points. BLA also developed the planting, irrigation, and lighting designs, utilizing native and adapted plant materials selected for long-term durability, seasonal interest, and compatibility with the surrounding rural landscape.
Together, these elements create a cohesive and inviting community environment that balances recreation, functionality, and natural beauty while preserving the relaxed character and lasting appeal of Texas ranchette living.
